Chris Tullier and I are starting to spend a lot of time in prep for our pre-conference presentation at PDC this year. Chris highly recommended that I read the book Presentation Zen to get in the right mindset for our day-long talk. I picked up a copy at B&N (actually had to order it because apparently it gets clepted from the shelves, filthy dishonorable thieves – but it costs less online), and have started working my way through it. So far, it’s very inspiring. So today I’m taking on a “beginners mind” as I approach the creativity of building presentations. I really liked the quote:
In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities,
in the expert’s mind there are few. – Shunryu Suzuki
Anyway, our pre-con session at PDC is title Developing Quality Software using Visual Studio Team System 2010, and will be on Monday, November 16th. Make sure you register for the pre-con when you register for PDC to reserve your seat.
